Spending from the wallet follows a dual-approval process:
1Student requests to spend a specific amount for a specific purpose
2Parent reviews and approves the spending request
3Teacher/mentor reviews and approves the spending request
4Cooling-off period — a brief wait before the card is activated
5Card is funded and active for a 30-minute spending window
6Card auto-refreezes after the window closes
Why dual approval?
This ensures both the parent and teacher agree the spending is appropriate and aligned with the project milestones. It's a safety measure that teaches responsible financial management.
